Day 1; 23 Feb; 

Transfer to Istanbul Airport for flight to Cappadocia (Kayseri or Nevsehir), the ancient name of a remarkable region in Central Turkey, Anatolia! The ancient, Cappadocia means “Land of Beautiful Horses”. It is a geological wonderland this unusual and exciting formation of Cappadocia has had this appearance for millions of years as a result of gradual erosion of volcanic tufa. With the known history of 4 thousand years, the bears the rich heritage of natural, cultural and also religious aspects. 

Start the tour by visiting the Natural Citadel of Uchisar, a magnificent castle placed at the highest point of Cappadocia. Throughout the history, the castle was always the main point of defense for the Cappadocia region. Uchisar Citadel has been a member of UNSECO World Heritage List since 1985.

Visit Pigeon valley and drive to Goreme Open Air Museum that consists of steep cliffs and many hidden churches dating from the 9th century.

Goreme Open Air Museum is another UNESCO World Heritage site in Cappadocia.

In the 4th century Cappadocia became known as the “Land of the Three Saints” because of three remarkable theologians; St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory of Nyssa and St Gregoru of Nazinzus who contributed a great deal to the Christian doctrine. 

The Goreme Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Cappadocia, Turkey, known for its unique rock-cut churches, monasteries, and cave dwellings dating back to the Byzantine period.

Day 2; 24 Feb;

OPTIONAL: Hot Air Ballooning

Hot air ballooning in Cappadocia is an unforgettable experience that allows you to witness the region's stunning landscapes, including fairy chimneys, rock formations, historical sites, from a unique vantage point.

This day guests have full day tour of Cappadocia including the Underground City, Roman Castle at Ortahisar Village, Red Valley, Rose Valley, Pasabag Valley.

In the area there are 36 underground cities and the original establishment is not known. Some dated back to Hittites (5C BC) and some as late as 6th C AD. These underground cities were used by early Christians escaping from persecution until 7th century. These underground cities cannot be noticed from the ground level. They carved airshafts as deep as 85 meters into the rock and then made holes laterally at different levels in all directions. They hewed an elaborate system of the surface. They dug dwellings, bathrooms, kitchens, dinning halls, storage rooms, wine cellars, chapels, graves and suchlike. Entrances at the surface level were also camouflaged. 

During the day, guests will enjoy “wine sampling” and “pottery making” experience.
